  the most powerful book i have ever read.. many have read "the power of now"....his new book blows it away.... the beautiful thing about eckhart is he doesn't claim to have "the truth"...he isn't trying to start a new religion.... he will bring you to tears when he tells you how you have created your own ego driven personal hell.. how we have all "fallen in love" with our own personal stories...the illusion is thinking they are real.... this book will change your world....which we all know is the scariest thing anyone can ever do.. nb .

  Many have read "The Power Of Now"....his new book blows it away...

  The beautiful thing about Eckhart is he doesn't claim to have "The Truth"...He isn't trying to start a new religion...

  He will bring you to tears when he tells you how you have created your own ego driven personal hell.

  The happiest people on earth?

  my fading brother just informed me of two jw suicides in his area within the last few weeks.. one was recently disfellowshipped.. the other was an active publisher, possibly a ministerial servant.

  .

  both left young children behind.. the cases appear to be unrelated.. of course suicide is nothing unique to jehovah's witnesses.. but most of us know that as a group they are no happier than any other segment of the population, quite possibly less so due to the burdens placed upon them and their paradisaic hopes that go perpetually unrealized.. .

  It's between one of the following kinds.

  Religion 1

  We have these big churches with lots of money. When we first start the church, we will kill people unless they join.

  In later years there will be...No brith control, No eating meat on Fridays, We will confess our sins to a preist. Sex before marriage is O.K. as long as they are screwing a fellow church member. (2 hail Mary's)

  Oh, by the way the preist can't marry, but they can have sex with our children...we'll look the other way. Only one meeting a week.......People hate meetings. Our meetings will be in Latin (something no one understands) We'll believe in Hell Fire, and infant baptism.....and of course there will be lots of GUILT!

  Religion 2

  We won't have much money in the begining, so we can't kill people unless they join. So we need to make all the followers "go house to house" (yea that's the ticket) looking for really unhappy people. Our message will one of "Good News".....and that will be...God is coming to kill just about everyone. The "Good people" will have what is left of the earth.........and if some of your friends or family get killed my our God.....don't worry our God in his infinate mercy will erase their memories from your mind....our God a really nice guy.....just don't piss him off...........wow .....just like the God in Religion 1

  No hell fire, when your dead your dead, no sex before marriage, no college education (we may change that later) 5 meetings a week.....with no college....most of are people will be really stupid...thats a good thing. They'll need 5 meetings a week...or they my start to guestion...our believes....and if they do you....and change their minds and try to leave us.....we will shun them... oh yes, there will be lots of GUILT!

  Did I leave anything out?........It's going to be really tough to start these religions up....but once they're up and running.....Hay...who knows how big they get........

  James Olson Killed Himself Today!

  it was october 31, 1973 james olson jumped out of building 4 at brooklyn bethel.. i along with many others back there...help kill him.

  i'm not proud of it....i was part of the problem...the lack of love as it were.

  i posted the story on "my bethel experience part 19".

  I don't know were he is buried. When you join Bethel you sign a piece of paper saying that the "Society" can keep your body when you die....I never knew what that was all about. Knowing the "Society" they sold it for a couple of hundred bucks to some lab.

  Maybe his parents know were he is at...If indeed he is anywhere at all.

  I remember they announced his death at Lunch the following Saturday...The one meal were only about 1/3 of the Bethel family is at.

  This is what they said, in between announcements..........There be no tours Monday.... James Olson is Dead..Tonights dinner will be left overs.....

  If you weren't paying attendion you would have missed it........He got all of 3 ssconds.

  Thank you my friend AK Jeff for your post ..

  Yes...Richard Wheellock did kill himself at Bethel...It was after his death that the "Society" softed their stand on suicides!.....as in Maybe....God could forgive them....isn't that nice of God..

  The good thing about killing yourself at least you don't have to worry about the guilt anymore.

  just got back from the doctor and he was alarmed at my liver function test.

  he sent me for an ultrasound of my liver and i'm being tested for hep.. problem:.

  my drinking way too much is because i have a hard time dealing with wanting to leave the 'truth' but can't.

  Tell me about it....I was hitting the bottle before I left too.

  Self medicating.....I'm convinced if I stayed in I would be dead now....You just can't bottle all that shit up and not have some phyicial problems.
